چکیده

Two-photon absorption (2PA) and excited state absorption (ESA) properties of axial-bonding type hybrid porphyrin arrays are investigated in the picosecond regime under single-photon resonant excitation condition. A crossover from reverse saturable absorption (RSA) to saturable absorption (SA) and back to RSA is observed with the increase of excitation intensity. In the corresponding intensity ranges, thirdand fifth-order phase conjugate signals from degenerate four wave mixing are observed. These observations are explained using rate equations for population densities in a three-level energy scheme. At higher intensities, 2PA is found to be dominant contributor to nonlinear absorption compared to ESA. 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Synthesis and photophysical properties of “center-to-edge” type phosphorus(V) porphyrin arrays

The synthesis, characterization and photophysical properties of a series of “center-to-edge” type phosphorus() porphyrin arrays in which the central phosphorus atom of one phosphorus() porphyrin is connected to the mesophenoxy edge of the other phosphorus() porphyrin(s) are described. The conformation of the porphyrin arrays is estimated from the NMR data on the basis of the porphyrin ring c...

Two-Photon Excitation of trans-Stilbene: Spectroscopy and Dynamics of Electronically Excited States above S1.

The photoisomerization dynamics of trans-stilbene have been well studied in the lowest excited state, but much less is known about the behavior following excitation to higher-lying electronically excited states. This contribution reports a combined study of the spectroscopy and dynamics of two-photon accessible states above S1. Two-photon absorption (2PA) measurements using a broadband pump-pro...

Efficient Förster resonance energy transfer in 1,2,3-triazole linked BODIPY-Zn(II) meso-tetraphenylporphyrin donor-acceptor arrays.

Cu(I) catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) reactivity was successfully employed to synthesize three donor-acceptor energy transfer (EnT) arrays that contain one (Dyad), three (Tetrad) and four (Pentad) 4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene (BODIPY) donors connected to a Zn-tetraphenylporphyrin acceptor via 1,2,3-triazole linkages. The photophysical properties of the three arrays, a...
